Internal
rendering and plastering mixes for application to sound backgrounds
or firm laths. Where fibre reinforcement is being used it should be thoroughly
combined with the lime sand mix before introducing the Gypsum.
The commonly used reinforcements were Ox or Goat hair, chopped straw or
reed and now a modern substitute is Alkali-resistant glass fibre as loose
strands or a woven fabric.
Bleaklow
coarse, medium and fine stuff will provide render, floating and finishing
coats respectivly to which Gypsum may be added if required.
